Lucidant Polymers upholds our commitment to quality by setting and measuring high standards for our products. As trusted chemists, we do not cut corners. Here is an overview of which Quality Control services Lucidant uses to instill confidence in our products.
HPLC (High-Performance Liquid Chromatography) is used to measure purity. Our technicians are fluent in methods that cover a range of mobile phases and compounds. We offer HPLC to measure purity in co-monomeric products.
GPC (Gel Permeation Chromatography) is used to measure molecular weights of compounds, using a specialized column that measures retention times. Our machine lets us determine the polydispersity (PDI) of polymer batches, and ensure customer specifications are met.
Moisture Analysis is measured, in-house, for products which are moisture-sensitive. Specifications are set to ensure that moisture levels are kept at a minimum, where applicable.
Applications testing is done on a case-by-case basis, to add confidence that Lucidant products will perform as we expect them to.
External Testing
NMR (Nuclear Magnetic Resonance) is the gold standard for measuring compound purity and identity. Our partners obtain spectra, and our capable scientists interpret their meanings. At Lucidant, we use NMR to evaluate incoming raw materials, as well as characterize our products.
Mass Spectrometry and Elemental Analysis tests are also useful to evaluate our products, where applicable.
Certificates of Analysis
Standard in our line of work, every batch of product comes with a Certificate of Analysis (CoA), complete with relevant, measured tests. Once satisfactory, the CoA is signed by our Quality personnel, and offered electronically to our customers. In the nature of delivering good chemistry products, we are committed to expanding our CoA testing as the customer requests.
